The registration of a trademark with the INPI protects you from any abusive use of your trademark, but this does not suffice. This leaves a virtual world which millions of people visit daily. It is well known that the anyone, in certain circumstances can use your trademark on the Internet.
An Internet name ending in '.com', '.net' or '.org' even if registered with the INPI does not guarantee the exclusive use of your trademark on the Internet. Many large world-wide companies have been obliged to buy their right to use their trademarks on the Internet. On an ever increasing level, the Internet is becoming the primary medium in commerce information exchange.
